Established in 1986, Fujisankei Communications International, Inc. (FCI) is the overseas branch of the Fuji Television Network. With seven offices in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, FCI delivers news and entertainment content to Japan through the Fuji Television Network and the Sankei Shimbun newspaper. In addition to creating content for Japan, FCI also produces original television programming for US audiences, including "MANswers" for Spike, and "Viking: The Ultimate Obstacle Course Challenge" for ESPN. FCI is also a major events promoter, hosting US productions of prestigious Japanese cultural events including the Praemium Imperiale, Kabuki at Lincoln Center, and Grand Sumo. For native Japanese speakers residing in the United States, FCI also broadcasts in-language Fuji Television programming via various local UHF stations and on ImaginAsian, a national cable channel specializing in Asian content.
